Supply Chain Management
From start to finish, MCFA manages the supply chain proactively to reduce cycle time and variability, increase reliability and provide end-to-end visibility and control. Our global management expertise increases flexibility and continuously improves supply chain performance for bottom-line returns.
Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
We work with strategic suppliers to set up VMI programs in distribution centers on location to buy on consignment and increase availability of parts and components.
Material Planning
We help suppliers with production forecasting, transportation management and distribution to better fill customer orders, while reducing total supply chain inventory. Using Internet-based shared data (SupplierNet) the suppliers are able to better plan production schedules, get raw materials more efficiently and achieve greater stability through consistent demand planning.
Inbound Parts Logistics for New Vehicles
The average new vehicle is assembled from more than 2,500 distinct parts. MCFA material planning manages the flow of these components and subassemblies from Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers for JIT delivery to MCFA. We provide parts consolidation and transportation, as well as comprehensive manufacturing support - including sequencing, kitting, sub-assembly and milk run deliveries. Throughout the process, we have complete part-level visibility.
Finished Vehicle Logistics
When a forklift rolls off the assembly line, we manage the outbound distribution and help ensure seamless, damage-free delivery to the dealership. At the plant, trained personnel provide specialized support, including yard management and pre-delivery inspections. MCFA Logistics manage all transportation modes - be it ocean, rail or vehicle - for on-time delivery to the customer or direct to our dealer network. |
